What exactly is SRA3 paper size? and why is it used?

Hi,
I have been told to buy some a3 size paper for a printer in our office but have seen 'sra3' on our suppliers lists. what do i buy?

Hi Nicky,

SRA3 measures 450mm x 320mm, which is slightly larger than A3 (420mm x 297mm).

It is used in commercial printing presses because most printing processes require a margin or bleed for the ink (colour) to go right to the edge this is then trimmed down to A3 size for the finished product.

i would have thought your printer will only take up to A3 paper so make sure you purchase correctly or you wil have lots of scrap paper :)
