Help with Variable Data Printing software please

Hi Guys,

I was thinking of purchasing some VDP software but wasn't too sure what one would be more reliable and have the most to offer. On doing some research I have found that XMPie and DirectSmile have some very using features. Can anyone give me some pointers in the right direction and useful feedback on VDP software that they currently use or have come across in the past. I have listed below a few that are on offer out there at the moment. Any comments would be gratefully appreciated.

What would do you want to use the software for? - sorry for the loads of questions

All the ones in your list are capable but vary massivly in price and functionability. Do you just want to just them for managing variable artwork campaigns? or do you need PURL (Personal URLS)functions? for the directmail added value?

DO you want ot host it or have it hosted yourself? do you need an online side for your customers or do you want to manage their campaigns for them?

Each question you answer will massvily help narrow down the search. Finally though do you have a budget? this could have a massive impact!!
